Connie Dierking is originally from northeast Kansas. She holds a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education and a Master's degree in Special Education, both from Kansas State University.
Connie is currently a regional coordinator for Reading First
Professional Development and also travels the country conducting
workshops on reading and writing.
During the past 24 years, Connie has experienced the joys of teaching kindergarten, second grade, third grade, and exceptional education students.
She also was a writing demonstration teacher for
Pinellas County Schools and worked with the Pinellas
County Center for Learning Student Achievement
Institute, a research and development program that
supports classroom research in Best Practices.
Connie is the co-author of
Literature Models to Teach Expository Writing,
Teaching Writing Skills with Children's Literature,
Growing Up Writing, and most recently,
Teaching Early Writing and Reading Together. |
