Susan and co-author Connie Campbell Dierking specialize in the application of the writing process, and they create materials for writing instruction in the K-5 classroom.
Both Connie and Susan teach school in Florida. Connie is a first grade teacher; Susan is in fourth. They serve as writing demonstration teachers for Pinellas County, conducting workshops for their school and the district.
